This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced Legal Counsel to join a dynamic new-tech automotive corporate team at the start of their newly established electrical vehicles division. The location of the role is in Marlow, UK, and offers a flexible 50% opportunity to work from home. The company is a rapidly growing team, and it is an amazing opening to begin as a legal professional who can make the role their own and add substantial value.
Your responsibilities will include
• Drafting and solidifying agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights
• Creating legal policies and internal procedures from scratch
• Giving accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of corporate legal topics
• Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance
• Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
• Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues
• Communicate and negotiate with external bodies
• Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces
• Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
• Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility
• Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation.
Ideally, you will be/have
• UK based legal professional with corporate and commercial legal experience
• Solid knowledge of UK legislation, processes and procedures
• Legal degree, preferably obtained in the UK
• Hands-on attitude and willingness and ability to perform within a stand-alone role
• Down to earth attitude, ability to communicate with engineering team as well as work closely the management team within an automotive/tech-style flat-structure
• Ability to demonstrate long-term intended commitment to the role
• Russian language skills would be an advantage, but not a necessity
• Positive ‘can do’ attitude.
