Position: Construction Project Manager

Company: Construction Firm

Location: Central London and Surrey

Start date: immediately (ready to wait for the right candidate)

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Russian speaking Construction Project Manager to join a well-established construction firm based in Central London. You will be managing a major construction site in Surrey as well as be involved in a number of projects in London.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Overseeing the budget and quality of the project
  • Planning and coordinating all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors
  • Determining the scheduling of different phases of a project based on established deadlines
  • Negotiating contracts with architects, vendors, contractors and other workers
  • Securing of building permits and licenses and delivery of materials and equipment to construction sites
  • Ensuring compliance with building and safety codes
  • Resolving any issues that might hinder the timely completion of the project
  • Overseeing permit submission and design evaluations
  • Conducting meetings on-site with architects, clients and construction crew
  • Preparing and submitting project estimates to clients

 

A successful candidate will be/have:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is highly preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in construction project management in the UK
  • Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets
  • Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures
  • Extensive experiencing managing budgets for large construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment
  • Fluent Russian and English
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Surrey on a regular basis
