Our client is a high-level international Interior Design studio based in Victoria, Central London, specialising in super-prime, international residential and commercial refurbishment and architecture services. They are currently looking for a top calibre bright and willing Accountant for their London based office to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the Creative Director and becoming their financial guru in relation to various creative projects.
  • Financial monitoring, budgeting, management and reporting, and development of policies, systems, processes and personnel.
  • Preparation of yearly and quarterly accounts, VAT returns, payroll, projects related P&Ls.
  • Three main areas of financial support: interior design finance management, product sales financial management and stock management:                                                                                                                                                                                                                 ✓ Interior Design – financial reporting on on-going interior design projects. P&Ls of the project, capable of collecting all related financial information.                                                                                                                                                                                    ✓ Product sales accounting – all financial information related to furniture sales, plus all profits from multiple collaborations with other designers/furniture producers.                                                                                                                                  ✓ Financial stock management – keeping neat financial information related to the accumulated stock.
  • Building effective working relationships internally and with external service providers.
  • Other areas of responsibility include office operations, insurance and major supplier relationships.

Requirements:

  • Accounting experience, preferably handling the full scope of a small business accounting.
  • Organised, hands-on, flexible approach and ability to handle a wide range of responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • IT literate with good Word and Excel knowledge. Working knowledge of Xero will be useful.
  • Languages: English and Russian at a professional level.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining and reporting the activity clearly to nonfinancial creative management.
  • Strong work ethics and time management skills.
