This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Household/Estate Manager to become a valuable team member in a large Kensington-based house with an extensive household team. The role is based in Central London, and will be suitable for a live-out candidate who can get there on daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing household maintenance, general condition and operations, maintaining schedules of works that have been done and are scheduled to be done
- Managing building management systems, including but not limited to electricity, water, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, intruder & fire alarms and asset tagging in order to be the first point of contact when problems arise and to liaise with relevant contractors for repair and maintenance
- Dealing with household recruitment and conducting initial interviews
- Supervision and management of and extensive household team. Effective management of staff rotas and household schedules, holidays and sick days etc. Team leadership and support
- Organising and supervising deliveries, suppliers, contractors and workmen as necessary
- Undertaking a project management responsibility for property construction
- Check and approve all utility and contractor invoices before submission to the owner for settlement, ensuring no duplication or overpayment arises
- Ensuring the household is fully stocked at all times and shopping for all required household items, running household errands
- Personal support to the family as required
- Ensuring all assets and the estate are being managed efficiently
- Other ad hoc duties as directed
Ideally, you will be/have
- Proven experience in a Household/Estate Management role for at least 3 years plus, ideally with responsibilities of project management
- Ideally, you will have an engineering degree and/or sound understanding of building processes and projects
- Excellent organisational and managerial skills
- Results-orientated with the ability to push in challenging situations
- Able to work autonomously and motivate the team
- Fluent in English, Ukrainian, or another Eastern European language would be a plus
- Sound HNW UK-based relevant experience is a must
