Our client is a high-profile private investment Family Office operating in the UK and EU. They are now seeking a Group Financial Controller based at the London head office. The successful candidate will report to the CEO and play an important role in a successful, growing business. This role would suit an experienced and hands-on individual who is looking to develop further and become a valuable team player within the management team. Ideally, the chosen candidate should have ACCA/CIMA post-qualification experience working in a finance/professional services/HNW/FO environment and must be capable of heading a small international finance department with clear objectives for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of the Monthly Consolidated Management Report
  • Detailed analytical review and commentary on business performance by product and division
  • Develop, implement and monitor a suite of business drivers that focus on the key performance areas of the business
  • Responsible for planning and coordination of the annual budget and quarterly re-forecasting exercises
  • Responsible for the planning, coordination and production of the annual Operating Plan
  • Production of the consolidated statutory Financial Statements
  • Work with the FD to ensure that the business’s strategic objectives are being implemented across the network
  • Work closely with the UK and European Finance Managers to ensure that their businesses are delivering maximum returns
  • Ad hoc projects as delegated by the CEO
  • To be the main link between the financial accounting system and the front office systems, continually reviewing performance, processes and procedures

Key Skills

  • Qualified Accountant with post-qualified experience
  • Experience in preparing consolidated accounts and statutory financial statements
  • Excellent Excel (advanced level) and MS Office skills
  • Ability to interrogate systems and provide solutions and implement change
  • Ability to problem solve and propose solutions
  • Strong commercial acumen with clear and measurable successes in current and prior roles
  • Confident communicator
  • Excellent report-writing skills
  • Strong team player
  • Russian language skills are a strong advantage
