We are looking for a professional EDS Engineer who can hit the ground running while working in a team!
Responsibilities:
- Interpret/draw wiring diagrams/circuits/schematics
- CAD software – Arcadia/Siemens/SOLIDWORKS
- Creating/maintaining pinout tables
- Selecting wire sizes
- Calculating fuse ratings
- Designing/interpreting electrical architecture drawings
- Creating CAN networks – knowledge of Topology/Baud Rates/Bus Load
- 12/24/48/400/800v
- Liaising with suppliers on a techinical level, from Headlamps and Electric Windows to Traction Inverters and DCDC Converters.
- Lithium and Lead Acid Batteries (at vehicle level)
- CAN to USB interfaces such as Vector/KVASER
- Rapid protoype harness builds
- Commercial vehicle electrical design
- Low volume, small team vehicle conversions – Police/Ambulance/MoD/Liesure
- Basic understanding of technical terms: HS switching, LS switching, bridges GPIO, AIN/ADC, potential divider networks, clean vs dirty grounds, PWM, pull up/down.
Requirements:
- Experience within the automotive industry or similar experience.
- Electronics/Electrical/EDS design deliverable awareness within the automotive sector.
- Automotive EDS knowledge and experience for complete car electrical systems
- Team player with a hands-on approach, capable of working in a prototype initial team as an all-rounded EDS Specialist.
