Our client is seeking a skilled Dispute Resolution Solicitor with experience in private practice to join their dynamic team. As a valued member of the firm, you will play a crucial role in representing their clients in complex legal disputes, with a particular focus on regulatory matters, human rights issues, data protection and crisis management.  They are looking for a generalist or a specialist in any of the aforementioned areas. They are looking for qualified English solicitors to join our small but growing team, but will welcome the application of outstanding foreign-qualified lawyers.

Responsibilities  

  • Handle a diverse caseload involving dispute resolution, with an emphasis on regulatory and human rights matters
  • Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions on complex legal issues
  • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to clients in a range of legal matters
  • Work closely with the current team of 7
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including motions, briefs, and court pleadings
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, other law firms, and legal professionals
  • Attend meetings and provide legal advice to clients on a regular basis
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents pertaining to dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and human rights
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior solicitors/paralegals/interns and help them develop their skills and expertise when needed.

Key skills

  • A law degree from an accredited university and a valid practising certificate
  • A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience, with a strong focus on regulatory and/or human rights matters and a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes in complex legal cases
  • Experience in private practice
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • An in-depth understanding of the law and a commitment to staying up-to-date with changes and developments in the legal landscape
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
  • French, Russian or any other EU language is an advantage but not a must
