This is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial professional with sound business experience to join a growing interior design brand based in the heart of London. Our client’s expectations for this role are to add value to the commercial side of the business, to assist with formalising the structure of creative processes, to explore and develop new business opportunities, to guide marketing and sales efforts, to support the creative director with operational and financial management tasks while keeping the focus on the bottom line and on maximising profits.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyse and evaluate current operational and financial structures
- Advise on and implement business optimisation strategies
- Manage business development strategy across all brands of the business
- Evaluate and grow existing sales pipeline; explore new sales opportunities with the potential to generate new income
- Work closely with the Creative Director and other teams including marketing, finance, administration and PR
- Conduct market research and identify current trends in order to adjust the design portfolio, marketing strategies and distribution channels
- Use personal and professional network to spread the word about the brand and the business mission
- Together with the Creative Director conduct meetings with potential clients, negotiate contracts and close deals
- Monitor project flow from a financial perspective, control budgets, advise on financial projections and outcomes
- Review, analyse and work with financial statements, advise on financial strategy and budgeting, financial reporting deadlines
- Improve cost management and cash flow
- Work closely with the Creative Director, managing financial and sales strategies
- Keep focused on business development and improved performance to increase profitability
Skills and qualifications required:
- A business-related degree is essential
- Russian language skills (intermediate to advanced)
- A commercial mind with entrepreneurial spirit
- Sound business management experience, especially in the areas of business optimisation and business development
- Understanding of financial statements, business performance indicators, ability to work with financial data
- Previous experience in either design, architecture or fashion would be an advantage, but this is not a necessity. The ability to learn quickly about the business and the sector is more important.
