Responsibilities
- Manage the ordering and procurement of household supplies
- Carry out routine security walk-throughs of the house and grounds
- Help onboard and train new household staff
- Look after peripheral estate responsibilities during quieter periods — think bike upkeep, garage/storage organisation, and general grounds monitoring
- Drive family members and household staff safely and discreetly whenever needed
- Serve as the go-to liaison for tradespeople and contractors visiting the property
- Keep a running inventory of household items and equipment, reordering or replacing stock as required
- Take ownership of the property’s overall condition and upkeep, keeping day-to-day operations running seamlessly
- Remain reachable for urgent callouts, including alarm activations, outside of standard hours
- Play an active part in administrative tasks, from budget tracking to coordinating the household calendar
- Handle errands and shopping duties on an as-needed basis
- Maintain accurate records for all vehicles kept on site
- Oversee housekeeping and maintenance personnel day to day, ensuring standards are consistently met
- Carry out occasional grounds and DIY-type tasks as they arise
- Support the coordination of refurbishment or renovation projects
- Keep vehicles road-ready, running pre- and post-journey checks
- Liaise closely with fellow staff to keep the household functioning smoothly as a unit
Key Skills
- Willing to put in extra hours from time to time as the role demands
- Fluent in both English and Russian
- Solid grasp of property upkeep and building work — comfortable pricing services and steering projects through to completion
- A composed, trustworthy, adaptable, and diplomatic personality
- Experience working within the UK, with an existing right to work here
- Comfortable operating within a close, collaborative household team, with the ability to also direct others
- Around five years or more in a Household, Estate, or Property Management capacity, ideally
- A clean, valid UK driving licence
