This is an exciting opportunity to join a technology services firm that serves and supports a UK-based family office. Based in Central London, they provide strategic consulting, implementation support, and fully managed IT services that enhance operational efficiency, cybersecurity, and resilience for a single client with offices across the UK and Europe. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic advisory capabilities, and strong client‑facing skills to design, implement, and optimise technology environments.
Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Consulting
- Develop technology roadmaps and long-term IT strategies aligned with client business objectives.
- Provide strategic guidance on digital transformation initiatives, incl. modernisation of infrastructure, adoption of cloud technologies, cybersecurity, operational resilience, and secure infrastructure architecture across cloud and on‑prem environments.
- Conduct IT assessments and technical risk reviews, identifying areas for operational improvements and recommending remediation actions.
Business Systems Implementation
- Support the selection process and deployment of core business platforms (Portfolio Management, CRM, Microsoft 365/Google Workspace, ERP/Finance).
- Support client(s) in navigating the technology landscape surrounding Digital Assets and cryptocurrency investments.
Infrastructure, Security & Resilience
- Deliver infrastructure modernisation and cloud migration projects, including network redesign, platform hardening, and workload migration.
- Design, implement, and optimise Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions (e.g., Okta, Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, Ping Identity).
- Implement and support secure remote access and VPN solutions (e.g., Palo Alto Global Protect, Cisco AnyConnect, Zscaler ZPA).
- Implement and manage network security controls including firewalls, secure web gateways, and intrusion prevention systems (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco).
- Design and manage enterprise backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik).
- Deploy and operate Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, SentinelOne).
- Deploy and operate Cloud Detection & Response (CDR) platforms (e.g., Palo Alto Prisma Cloud, CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender for Cloud).
- Develop and implement Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) plans.
- Contribute to the delivery of Managed IT Services, including monitoring, patching, incident response, and ongoing environment optimisation.
Emerging Technologies
- Evaluate automation, workflow tools, and AI‑driven operational platforms.
- Identify opportunities for analytics, modern data tooling, and ML‑based insights.
Key skills
- 4-5+ years in corporate IT, system engineering, or technology consulting.
- Strong understanding of cloud services, modern infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience delivering technology change programmes.
- Knowledge of relevant industry frameworks and best practices (e.g., Agile, ITIL, TOGAF, ISO 27001, Zero‑Trust security, 3‑2‑1 backup principles).
- Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python).
- Experience in Financial Services organisations (asset managers, family offices, investment advisors).
- Experience with core business platforms (listed above).
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Willingness to undertake occasional international travel.
- Russian language skill is a plus.
