This is a great opportunity to join a well-established single-family and investment office based in Central London. Our client is looking for a mid-level operations and investment professional who will view this opportunity as a long-term position and will add value to strengthen their operational processes within an international multi-asset investment team.

Their investment team is a hybrid role combining investment operations with analytical support. The team manages a globally diversified, multi-asset portfolio across both public and private markets, following an endowment-style investment approach. The role primarily supports the investment team’s operational processes, ensuring efficient execution, accurate reporting, and smooth day-to-day portfolio management. The position also offers exposure to investment analysis and manager research, making it an attractive opportunity for a candidate interested in combining investment operations with broader investment responsibilities.

 Responsibilities

  • Assist with portfolio monitoring activities such as performance tracking, risk reporting, reconciliation, and portfolio reviews.
  • Actively support investment team processes, ensuring timely completion of reporting, documentation, and workflow management.
  • Liaise with custodians, fund administrators and other external service providers to ensure accurate settlement, reporting, and data integrity.
  • Support the operational execution of investment activities across public and private markets, including trade support, fund subscriptions and redemptions, capital call processing, and cash flow coordination.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations for the client, the investment committee, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide analytical support on investment research and due diligence projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify operational efficiencies, improve internal controls, and enhance investment process infrastructure.
  • Support compliance-related tasks and ensure proper recordkeeping across investment documentation and portfolios.

 Key skills

  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in investment operations, portfolio support, asset management, or a related financial role.
  • Degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related numerical discipline.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Fluency in Russian is advantageous.
  • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and P&L reporting.
  • Familiarity with investment platforms and data providers such as Addepar and Bloomberg is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly in operational execution and reporting processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external service providers.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to the continuous improvement of investment processes.

Job advantages

  • 25 days of annual leave, plus all UK bank holidays
  • 5% employer pension contributions
  • Private medical and dental insurance
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Workplace Nursery Scheme
  • Support for professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, CAIA)
