This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Commodities Trader with solid banking experience to join on a Partner level a rapidly growing company and build Russian & CIS business.
As a Head of Commodity Trading – Russian & CIS, you will be playing a crucial role in setting up Russian and Eastern European trading division of the firm. The role will include building the business from scratch (e.g. transferring the existing contacts, sourcing, developing and managing client relationships in Russia and Eastern Europe). Head of Commodity Trading – Russia & CIS will also be responsible for developing strategies for power, oil and gas financial and physical trading in Russian and CIS, setting up the division, monitoring market performance, recruiting the team, executing trades, etc. The role will be initially focused on derivatives trading (power, gas, oil) with further development of physical commodities trading desk.
The ideal Head Commodity Trading – Russia and CIS will be/have:• Extensive power and gas trading experience on a senior/director level in top financial services/banking institutions with a proven track record of profitability;• Solid knowledge of power and gas markets in Russian & CIS both in terms of financial and physical trading;• Proven track record of business development and client stakeholder management with existing book of clients in Russia and CIS;• Fluent Russian as well as English speaker;• Strong networking and leadership skills as well as self-motivation;
