We are currently seeking for an Electrochemist to develop advanced battery technology for mobility solutions. Strong Electrochemistry background and demonstrated success in materials-by-design methodology approaches would be quite useful. As part of our Energy Storage group, you’ll help craft creative battery solutions that deliver more energy in smaller spaces than ever before. You’ll work across disciplines to transform improved hardware elements into a single, integrated design. Join our client’s team, and you will have a chance to participate in the innovation of new battery technologies that will change the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • To research, test and develop new ideas in the battery technology using metallic lithium.
  • Working with pure lithium.
  • To research, test and develop how the electrolytes interact with lithium.

Requirements:

  • Experience of various liquid electrolytes based on carbonates and ethers.
  • Independency working with the materials, offering new solutions, etc.
  • Understanding of potential electrolyte reactions with the electrodes.
  • Experience with lithium-containing batteries, such as Li-Ion or Li-metal batteries.
  • Experience in lithium – carbon interaction.
  • Being able to read about new battery chemistries and understand them without supervision.
  • Experience with supercapacitors is desirable.
  • Sc. or M.Sc. or Diploma in Chemistry.
  • 1+ years of working with batteries or supercapacitors in a lab.
  • 3+ years of handling of chemicals in glassware, syringes, and pipettes.
  • Being able to read about and understand potential reactions and hazard risks when working with certain chemicals used in an experiment.
