This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper with 5 years of experience in a professional services environment working for Family Office. The position will offer outstanding opportunities to learn, grow and get involved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring incoming and outgoing payments, cards & account balance
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments (high volume and high value)
  • Process and reconcile credit card statements & Reconcile bank statements
  • Ensure all cards & bank accounts are fully functional & fully funded at all the times.
  • Enter and upload invoices into Quickbooks
  • Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Respond to enquiries
  • Process expense forms
  • P&L review
  • Accrual & Pre-Payment
  • Month End Management Reporting
  • Final Account Preparation up to trial balance.
  • Working across multiple accounts (90% in GBP)
  • Process and reconcile credit card statements
  • Post adhoc transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
  • Assist the Accountants with month end reporting
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits
  • General administration

Core Competencies:

  • Banking and payments related activities.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance function (ideally some experience of working in a Family Office environment)
  • Experience with the use of a modern ERP Accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks, Xero, SAP, Sage 50)
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, SUMIFs)
  • Highly motivated, confident and enthusiastic individual who will be able to deal effectively with conflicting requirements
  • Demonstrates the ability to be a good team player and technically sound.
  • A willingness to learn and develop
  • Ability to work under pressure, deal with deadlines and work flexibly (e.g. longer hours during busy periods)
  • Effective communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of numeracy
  • Professional and well-presented
  • Accounting qualification – PART QUALIFIED ACCA, ACA
  • The Russian Language is a big bonus
