This is an amazing opportunity for a hands-on HR professional to join a top automotive employer in Buckinghamshire location, with a 50% time ‘work from home’ option.  You will become the HR lead for a speedily developing corporation with the opportunity to make the role your own and create HR processes from scratch. It is an exciting opportunity for someone who would like to be hands-on and feel the value of their input.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Driving full scope of HR systems set up for a completely new division of an established automotive business
  • Working closely with management to achieve company goals through effective HR practices
  • Undertaking HR projects: creating onboarding system, staff handbook, salary policies, arranging benefits and bonus structure, hiring and firing procedures, as well as other HR policies and structures
  • Coordinating and managing HR processes alignment throughout the team
  • Sourcing and hiring employees (job posting, CV screening, candidate contacting, interview scheduling, liaising with recruitment agencies)
  • Payroll processing
  • Suggesting on staff retention and development plans
  • Advising line managers on employment law and HR-related issues
  • Advising line managers on best HR practices and policies
  • Disciplinaries/redundancies/performance meetings
  • Conducting staff engagement surveys, collecting and analysing feedback and driving action planning with management and operations team
  • Being a big part of company development and achieving necessary headcount in accordance with the establishing hiring plans.

Ideally, you will have

  • Sound experience working in an HR and/or recruitment role
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and hands-on approach to creating HR function from scratch
  • HR-related degree or qualification
  • Employment law knowledge (GDPR, health and safety, contracts, employment rights)
  • A CIPD part or full qualification is advantageous but not a must
  • Fluent English language skills, Russian language skills at any level is an advantage but not a must
  • Experience in the automotive/engineering/tech/science industry is a great bonus.
